This book is a collection of Sayings by my Grandmother (dec.) who reared me on the Island of New Providence, Nassau, Bahamas , between the late 50's to the late 70's. The wisdom in Grammy's sayings are timeless and can provide commonsense advice on life and living to people of all ages navigating the challenges of the times that we now live in. So many people are overwhelmed and frustrated with finances, child rearing, crime and many other issues. This book will offer 'sage' advice to help people deal with many of their issues.Additionally, the sayings are like riddles that provide advice to help people learn to deal practically with those around them. The sayings are particularly useful to those raising children and grandchildren; educators and those who interact with the young on a consistent basis for one reason or another.

About the author (2022)

Jeannie Robertha Gibson was born in Nassau Bahamas in the late fifties but migrated to the United States in her early twenties and has made it her home. Her upbringing in The Bahamas has formed most of her views on life and living. Always a writer, Jeannie's first career was as a reporter with a local newspaper in The Bahamas, however, in the U.S. she began a new career as a tourism representative for her country. Interestingly, the last 10-12 years of her career with The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism was in the department of Global Communications where she was able to use her gifts and talents as a writer in her role as Manager, Public Relations. During her entire life Jeannie never stopped writing on a personal level, although most of her writing projects remained unpublished. Now retired, her goal is to publish much of the work that she compiled over the past few decades as well as to continue to write as the Holy Spirit leads her. When she is not writing, Jeannie enjoys traveling and spending time with her five granddaughters given her by her two sons.
